seso: Since you're not really in the USA, I would suggest you read the Zero Tolerance Sticky at the top of this and the Introduction forum. Lying about your location is a bannable offense..
Actually I don't know anything about mountain climbing but it may be full of adventure and fun so go my friend  :).
Well, i have always long for a chance to cruise on the Nile, but the time didn't seem right.
You mentioned that the appeal of the Nile Cruise went down, well, i will say, it is not the appeal of the Nile that went down but the economic power did.
The economic crisis indeed exert a bad influence on the the tourism as a whole, and Nile Cruise is not exception..
I will recommend Nairobi National Park and Nairobi National Museum.
The following are some resources that I found online, hope it could help.
Nairobi National Park
Definitely the biggest tourist destination in Nairobi. The Nairobi National park is an underrated, full safari game reserve only 7 km away from the downtown center of the city. It's so close that you can even manage to get some pictures of wild animals with a skyscraper on the horizon.
The park commonly sees lions, zebras, giraffes and more. There is one unfenced border to the park so the population of animals changes all the time. The only animal you will miss is the elephant, which doesn't frequent the area. But other than that, you never know what you are going to see. Admission to the park is around US$40, and it is well marked with roads and a walking trail.
Nairobi National Museum
Originally the museum was intended as a place to house natural history specimens and displays, but once Kenya became an independent nation, the focus changed to include exhibits about the history and people of Kenya as well.
[quote:bfd9708675="paul"]I think one of the problems with trying to categorise countries in Africa according to their safety is that there can be great diversity within countries. It also, of course, depends on what individuals perceive to be dangerous.
Rwanda is, for the most part, reasonably safe these days, apart from the border with Congo.
South Africa can be extremely safe or dangerous, depending on where you go.
Most of Kenya and Tanzania are fairly safe, but there have been bombings in both Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam in relatively recent times.
As I understand it, Malawi, Namibia and Botswana all have reasonable levels of safety.
On the danger list, I would be considering the likes of Nigeria and the Congo in addtion to those mentioned above.

This one make real sense, i personally also can't agree to simply category countries as safe or dangerous countries.
Well, the answer is too general to be answered and maybe you would like to say which country in Africa that you are mostly interested in.
Cheers~.
well, the World Cup is just over otherwise, it is definitely a good reason to go to South Africa~
I have never been to South Africa, but i have always admire the wild zoo park there. Just think of the idea that you can get so close to the wild animals, i will tingles with excitements..
Don't you guys think that Kenya's Parks and Reserves are beyond words' description, and they are just fantastic and non-reproducible.
I think whenever people are faced with the natural wonders, he will begin to reflect his own being, and that's a good chance to know himself better!
Kenya is definitely a good place to go!!! .
This summer I hope to hit the SA beaches.
I stumbled upon a great competition (from Arniston Bay Wines) so who knows maybe I will be the winner.
Question: Is there cheaper options than the normal car rental companies for a 3 week period?.
I will only talk something Cape Town. I have been there before.
I will say you have to go to the Boulders Beach!!! Then, you can see the resident Jackass penguins. They are so cute and special!
 .
Africa is very mysterious for me, and it is so huge and i guess it is worth traveling again and again.
Every time, i get to there, there is always something new to explore, and that's really the charming of the city.
 .

I hope so this is the best country in africa for saffari.
thanks for suggest some nice, beautiful and memorable places.
If it has to be Cape Town, I prefer Llandudno over Camps bay any day!.
Thanks WildinTanzania! This 'Uhuru Railway' looks awesome, and I think you just sold it to me with the fact that there is a bar on the train!
How often does it run?.
If I were you I'd get it in advance if you can - same for Tanzania. Why waste time in airports?.
I have heard so many good things about Malawi... in particular I have heard mention of a train that runs from Dar Es Salaam to Malawi.
Has anyone heard of this journey or even done the trip? Do they have any advice for me?.
Ok well, to begin with, I have been to my fair share of places and if you are looking for the ultimate island experience, I would definitely recommend the white sandy beaches of Mauritius.
Some of my the highlights of my last trip include an unforgettable diving experience in the crystal clear ocean waters, some of the best cuisine and a proper dose of local island culture in the form of a very vibrant night life.
It's also a great island if you're just interested in a nice, relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle.
If I've managed to sway you, then go take a look at Beachtag.co.za's website for some of the cheapest deals available on the island..
